As you know from my “Server Upgrade – Part 1”, I had a small issue with the Fractal Case I used. Although I very much like the case, I was not able to use the last drive tray due to two missing grommets. Certainly not a big deal in the grander scheme of things as it still turned great, but an annoyance none the less. What really interested was whether or not I could get the issues easily resolved. Contacting the MFG of products and getting end user support is often not a rewarding experience.
After I completed the build, I contacted them by email via their web site late Friday night and explained the issue. By Monday I received a response complete with a short email form to fill out for the shipment of the replacement grommets.
Since I was out of town, I did not send it back to them for several days, but within 24 hours of sending them my information, I received a tracking number. Needless to say I was impressed. It is comforting to know that there are companies out there that still care about customer service, and actually stand behind their product. I go through allot of hardware from cases to motherboards and I as far as I concerned, they deserve recognition for taking care of their customers. I am already planning my next build and there is a good chance it will have a Fractal Case in it. I know they will stand behind it if something goes wrong which always makes the buying decisions allot easier. Based on my experience, I would definitely check them out for you next build…
