Evernote is one of those software applications that you either love or hate.  It may not be for everyone but if you take notes at all it is worth giving it a try.  It integrates into almost everything including the PC, MAC, IOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone, and most browsers.  It integrates into Outlook as well as the Windows Explorer so it is available whenever right mouse click.  Lets just say it works with almost everything.  What make is unique is that is syncs all these devices together.  It’s like a Dropbox for notes.  My first couple of days with it was a bit awkward but after I got used to how it works I found it an invaluable tool, especially on my mobile device.  Evernote is free to use up to 60 Megs/Month and if you need more you can go premium for $45 a year.  60 Megs/Month does not sound like allot but unless you go real heavy into picture and audio notes, it will satisfy most users.  After you finish experimenting, you will find the regular account good enough for most people.  Premium accounts let you have 1 Gig/Month.  Since it is free to try/use, I would suggest giving it try and draw you own conclusions.

I find the mobile version to be most useful as it typically when I am away from my computer that I usually find something I need to jot down.

Summary

Evernote is one of those tools you have to try to see if it meets your style.  Many people swear by it and use it as the basis for everything in their life.  For me, I not that disciplined but I certainly find it very useful and use it on a regular basis.  The fact that is syncs to all my devices is one of the largest selling points.  Someday all things will sync and just seem seamless but until that happens, things like Dropbox and Evernote are a must have in our toolboxes.
